Lottie Tomlinson x Nails Inc Matchbox By Lottie Tomlinson Review & Giveaway

Lottie Tomlinson Nails Inc Matchbox

I'm a little bit of a liquid lipstick addict. I will slap that shit on my mouth till the cows come home - it's easy to apply, long lasting and the perfect way to get a matte colour onto your lips. Admittedly, when I think of Nails Inc liquid lipstick isn't the first thing that springs to mind. But I've used enough of their nail varnishes over the years to trust them on this one.

Nails Inc Matchboxes by Lottie Tomlinson are the perfect way to match your lips to your tips. The limited edition collection features a long wear nail polish paired with a matte effect lip paint. There are four shades available to get you all matchy matchy, plenty of choice so I'm sure you'll be able to find one you love.

As always, the Nails Inc gel effect varnishes were long lasting and chip resistant - I managed to go seven days without a chip which is quite a feat for a girl who bites her nails a fair bit. They applied evenly and smoothly, and took just one coat to get proper coverage although it recommends two.

Sick/Salt - Babes/Mint - Out Out/Buzzin - Rascal/Hell

I was pleasantly surprised by the lip paints. Although they're not quite as good as my favourite 'Stila Stay All Day' liquid lipsticks they certainly hold their own. The formula was one of the most comfortable I've ever worn, certainly not drying and didn't become flaky after a couple of hours wear which is ideal because I've quite literally never met anyone who wants flakes of colour hanging off their lips. However, I wouldn't say they're completely matte, which is a little disappointing.

I applied two coats to ensure a decent colour payoff, but after one coat I had a pretty decent coverage. The formula for each of them was exactly the same which I'm quite impressed with, other brands I've tried I've found different shades to be a hit and miss sometimes.

The lip paint in the Sick/Salt matchbox is a pale pink that actually has gold highlight flecked throughout, which although is pretty is not really my thing. It does make it a little bit shiny if that's the right word... I definitely wouldn't class it as being matte.

My favourite of the collection is Babes/Mint. It's a gorgeous nude mauve kinda shade and is definitely a good choice for everyday wear. Rascal/Hell is the perfect night out combo, I love reds and this one hints of orange through it. Out Out/Buzzin is an hot pink that would make barbie squeal with joy, it isn't something I would normally go for personally but I ended up really warming to it once I had it on.

Available from Nails Inc and Boots for £15 each.
